The weekend of 5th & 6th July promises to deliver some spectacular action at the 103- yr-old hillclimb with the Reg Phillips Memorial Trophy on the Saturday and the annual Midland Automobile Club (MAC) vintage meeting on the Sunday.
The Reg Phillips event will incorporate rounds of the Lotus 7, Midland Speed, Ginetta championships and a class of motorcycles. 113 cars and 25 motorcycles have entered vying for the Best Time of Day award and the Reg Phillips Memorial trophy.
Sunday sees a capacity entry of 131 of the world’s most historic cars, the oldest being the 1908 Brasier Voiture de Course of Mike Holt packing a 12 litre engine. Not to be outdone Anthony Howat will also be driving the hill in his Delage propelled by an incredible 27 litre Hispano Suiza aero engine.
Pactice starts at 9.30am both days with the competition getting underway post lunch 1.45-2pm. Admission is £14 & £17 respectively with under 16s getting in for free.
