The 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing driven by Sir Stirling Moss in preperation for his famous 1955 Mille Miglia victory is to appear on the Octane maagzine stand at the forthcoming British Motor Show at Excel. The show runs from 23 July to 3rd August.

The car, which was the Paris Salon Mondiale de l'Automobile show car in 1954 has been lost from public view since 1976 and is offered for sale for the first time in 30 years with Cars International of Kensington London.

The Mercedes Gullwing retains its original number plate PLB 23 and has only had three private owners from new.
