Singapore Grand Prix marks first ever Formula One night event

The FIA has set the date for the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix and has confirmed that not only it will be the nation's first Formula One race, but it will also be the fist ever F1 night race.

The FIA has set the date for the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix and has confirmed that not only it will be the nation's first Formula One race, but it will also be the fist ever F1 night race.

The inaugural race is scheduled for September 28 and is expected to start at 8pm local time. Qualifying will also commence after sunset.

Keen spectators are advised to book accommodation early, as many places have already been booked. See
