A completely restored Ferrari F1 car is to be reunited with its former driver, F1 ace Jacky Ickx, before it is sold for an estimated £1.4 million.
The Ferrari 312 B2 first raced in 1971 and went on to win the German Grand Prix the same year a title it took again in 1972.
The car has since been meticulously restored by Modena Motorsport for the supercar dealer Speedmaster. The restoration was so intricate that even the correct material for the braided brake hoses was sourced, along with a number of original parts.
The 312 B2 will debut in restored form during the Ferrari Corse Clienti parade at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix in May, with Jacky Ickx and Speedmaster MD James Hanson at the wheel. Interest from car collectors is expected to grow after this glamorous event.
