Major plans to revise Silverstone have been approved by Northamptonshire authorities.

The British Racing Driver's Club, managers of the circuit, today announced that members of Aylesbury Vale District Council have approved the application for Silvertone's new pit and paddock facilities.

This marks the first development in the ten-year programme for the redevelopment of the circuit. The developments have also secured the future of the circuit, despite previous fears for its longevity.
