Aston Martin has won the GT1 class in the Le Mans 24 Hours race for the
second year running, with the 009 DBR9 of David Brabham, Antonio Garcia
and Darren Turner.

Right from the start there was a fierce
battle in the GT1 class between the Aston Martins and the Corvettes,
and although 009 took the lead after three hours, there were often just
a few seconds between it and the leading Corvette. Even by the end of
the race, after more than 4500km, there was just five minutes between
them.
The second DBR9, 007, finished fourth in class.
The winning 009 DBR9, along with historic Le Mans Astons, is featured in the current issue of Octane, in the shops now.
