Alan Lubinsky, owner of AC Sports Cars, has fled Malta the country in which AC is based with over 500,000 of outstanding debt to the Maltese authorities.
Lubinsky borrowed 582,343 from the Maltese government in 2004 to transfer AC to Hal Far. He was also given a government factory in the local industrial estate, with high hopes for the local economy.
He has now abandoned the island and left several private companies that assisted him empty-handed. Unsurprisingly, Lubinsky is renowned for his unreliable history in international business.
