Alan Lubinsky, owner of AC Sports Cars, has fled Malta – the country in which AC is based – with over €500,000 of outstanding debt to the Maltese authorities.

Lubinsky borrowed
€582,343 from the Maltese government in 2004 to transfer AC to Hal Far. He was also given a government factory in the local industrial estate, with high hopes for the local economy.

He has now abandoned the island and left several private companies that assisted him empty-handed. Unsurprisingly, Lubinsky is renowned for his unreliable history in international business.
