Auctioneer Barons sold the ex-Jo Siffert Chevron B19 for an impressive £100,575 at its Sandown Park sale this weekend. This marks the first time that the auction house has exceeded £100,000 with a single sale.
The 1971 B19 was supplied to Swiss race ace Jo Siffert. Not only a racing driver, Siffert was also a Chevron agent and supplied the car to Frenchman Cyr Febbraio.
The B19 passed hands several times and was a regular on the track, competing in a variety of historic races including the Le Mans LMP2 which it won last year.
