A threesome of early Chevrolet Corvettes is to go under the hammer at MECUM's Bloomington Gold High Performance Auction in Illinois on June 27-28.
The 1955, '56 and '57 Corvettes are all serial ones the first Corvettes to be offered with a V8 engine.
The cars were originally brought together by a collector in Illinois in the 1970s, who recognised their significance. They then made their way to Alaska for several years, after which they made their way into the hands of Al Wiseman and George Swartz for restoration.
The Corvettes will be offered for sale as a collection at the auction. For further information see www.mecumauction.com.
