A pair of rare classic Aston Martins have sold for over £500,000 at an H&H sale at the new Harrogate International Centre.
The first car, a DB6 short chassis Volante and one of just 37 made, was sold to a European bidder for a new auction world record price of £324,000. This for a car that was highly presentable but certainly not concours standard.
The other car, a DB4 Series IV Vantage (one of 45 built) sold to an American collector for £209,000. This car had undergone a sympathetic and high-quality restoration.
More details on the sale will be included in the July issue of Octane, out May 28.
