Sir Stirling Moss was guest of honour at the official opening of the new Speedmaster combined showroom and conference centre in Bradford, Yorkshire.
Hundreds of people lined the streets to see Moss drive a long-nose Jaguar D-type from Bradford city centre to the new base of historic car dealer Speedmaster in the Greengates area of the city. Moss was followed by a cavalcade of cars from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
Speedmaster, run by John and James Hanson, had previously been based in a neighbouring building, but had been working on plans for the new 28,000 square foot showroom, conference centre and training facility for several years. The site is, in fact, a converted textile mill and also houses the HQ of Hanson Partners.
Each conference room has a motoring theme, with photographs by Paul Hanson and from picture library Jarrotts.
