Formula One's Lewis Hamilton has finally confirmed that he will drive his F1 car up the hill at July's Goodwood Festival of Speed, ending weeks of speculation.
Hamilton will once again scream up the challenging 1.16 mile hillclimb, as he did last year. This is a relief to the organisers, who had named the theme of this year's festival as 'Hawthorn to Hamilton Britain's Love Affair with Motor Sport', acknowledging the influence of home-grown stars and teams on Formula One and other forms of motor sport
.
The Festival takes place on July 11-13 at Goodwood House, West Sussex. Tickets are by advance booking only. See www.goodwood.co.uk.
