Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este

Date 23 – 25 May 2025

Returning to the shores of Lake Como from 23–25 May, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will once again be hosted by BMW Group Classic in collaboration with the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este. This partnership, now in its 20th year, continues to produce one of the world’s most celebrated concours d’elegance events. Around 50 extraordinary cars will compete across eight judged classes, with the coveted ‘Trofeo BMW Group – Best of Show’ awarded by the jury.

Classes range from pre-war opulence and motorsport icons to unrestored time capsules and the boldest designs of the 1980s and ’90s. Also featured are categories dedicated to forgotten marques and the fading era of traditional luxury. Concept cars from leading manufacturers will return in a stand-alone class. Saturday’s parade along the Villa d’Este terrace remains a highlight, culminating in the award of the public-voted ‘Coppa d’Oro’.

Alongside the concours, BMW will present several world premieres: a one-off open two-seater, a performance showcase from BMW M GmbH, and a new motorcycle study from BMW Motorrad. Historic themes will be honoured throughout the event, including a gathering of all surviving BMW 328 Mille Miglia cars – the first time these body variants have reunited since the marque’s dominant 1940 result. Other anniversaries marked in 2025 include 70 years of the BMW 507, 503 and Isetta, 50 years of the BMW 3 Series, and the golden jubilee of the BMW Art Car programme, represented by Sandro Chia’s BMW M3 GTR.

Sunday’s ‘Il Festival’ public day at Villa Erba invites enthusiasts of all ages to witness the concours field in motion. Also on the Saturday, the grounds will host ‘Amici & Automobili – Wheels & Weisswürscht’, an informal gathering of car clubs and enthusiasts displaying 150 vehicles, including regional Italian classics.

In its first year as official auction partner, Broad Arrow Auctions will stage two sales at Villa Erba. Saturday evening will feature a BMW-focused auction including a 1958 BMW 507 Series II, 1981 M1, and BMW Z8. The main collector car auction takes place on Sunday.
