Festival of the Unexceptional

The Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional (FOTU) returns on Saturday, 26 July 2025, at Grimsthorpe Castle, celebrating everyday automotive icons from 1970 to 2000. This unique event honours the quirkiest, most charming cars often overlooked by traditional concours shows.

For the first time, cars from the year 2000 are eligible for the Concours de L’Ordinaire, expanding the variety of entries. Expect to see everything from low-mileage Daewoo Tacumas and Fiat Multiplas to retro-styled Chrysler PT Cruisers. Past shows have featured an eclectic mix of Austins, Yugos, and even last year’s winning 1982 Toyota Hilux.

The gates open early at 7:30am, with festivities running until 5pm. Highlights include the live stage, exclusive Hagerty Drivers Club lounge, and displays of ordinary yet extraordinary cars. Hagerty promises celebrity hosts, surprise announcements, and unique exhibits.

Discover the charm and humour of FOTU – where everyday classics take centre stage. Think your car embodies the spirit of the unexceptional? Be sure to submit your entry to the Concours de L’Ordinaire.
