Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
If you’re unfamiliar with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, open up a YouTube window and check out some of the action. This vintage racing event occupies the roads around Schenley Park, attracts as many as 100,000 spectators across the two days of racing, and puts on a series of sports car and single-seater races around the challenging course – featuring everything from a flat-out run over the Panther Hollow Bridge, to a series of tight corners through the woods. The racing happens on July 18-19, though the event is more like a week of activities, starting on the 13th with car displays, and ending with the racing on the 19th. Weekend admission tickets are $20 for those 13 and over, with extra charges for nearby parking, and VIP packages for $200.
