The Concorso d’Eleganza Japan is set to make a much-anticipated return on 15-16 March 2025, marking the event’s first appearance since 2019. Held in the serene grounds of Yakushiji Temple in Nara, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the concours promises an unforgettable blend of world-class automotive excellence and rich cultural experiences.
For those entering cars, the event begins on Friday 14 March with an exclusive welcome dinner. Saturday will feature judging throughout the morning, culminating in a gala dinner party. Sunday offers the traditional Magic Hour celebration at sunrise, with participants dressed in traditional Japanese attire, followed by a special evening dinner to close the concours.
This year’s event will see RM Sotheby’s named as the title sponsor. Duccio Lopresto, Managing Director of RM Sotheby’s Middle East and Africa commented: ‘We are so excited that RM Sotheby’s is supporting such a special event, and the Concorso d’Eleganza Japan is set to be another unforgettable experience in 2025. For RM Sotheby’s, it is a special opportunity for the business to continue to spread our wings in Japan, which is long established as one of the world’s most important collector car markets.’
Following the concours, a seven-day Tour d’Eleganza will run from 17-23 March, offering participants a scenic journey through Japan’s most picturesque regions. Beginning with a drive from Nara to Kyoto, the tour includes stays at historic locations such as a 355-year-old onsen ryokan near the Japanese Alps and a winery hotel at Kawaguchiko, with breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Drivers will enjoy a dedicated route around Mount Fuji before concluding with three nights in Tokyo.
With past Best of Show winners including iconic Alfa Romeos and Lamborghini masterpieces, and tributes to celebrated marques like Carrozzeria Touring and Zagato, the Concorso d’Eleganza Japan 2025 is set to reaffirm its position as a premier event on the automotive calendar.
