A 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie commissioned by former Formula 1 star Daniel Ricciardo is expected to fetch between  €2.4m and  €2.8m when in Broad Arrow Auctions’ Zoute Concours Auction in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, on 10 October, 2025.

Ricciardo, who raced for Red Bull Racing from 2014 to 2018, was closely linked to the Valkyrie project from its inception. At the height of his F1 career, Red Bull partnered with Aston Martin – a collaboration that ultimately spawned the Valkyrie and later saw the British marque assume control of Racing Point under Lawrence Stroll.

Born of that partnership, the Valkyrie programme – codenamed Project Nebula – was led by Red Bull’s design chief Adrian Newey, who, in a twist of fate, now works with the Aston Martin F1 team after creating the Red Bull RB17 hypercar shortly before his move.

Ricciardo was said to be captivated by the Valkyrie’s Cosworth-developed V12 when it debuted in the AM-RB 001 prototype in 2016: ‘It feels like a race car and it looks like a race car,’ he remarked at the time. ‘I’m not used to having a roof over my head, but that’s the only thing that really feels different – otherwise, it’s a pretty straight-up race car.’

This led the Australian to commission the Valkyrie (chassis 089) offered for sale by Broad Arrow. Ricciardo’s example is set apart by a raft of personalisation options completed by Aston’s Q bespoke division. That includes its £30,000 Dichroic Dawn finish – also known as ‘Badger Blue’, in a nod to Ricciardo’s ‘Honey Badger’ nickname.

Other bespoke options include the exposed twill satin carbon finish in the clam veins and suspension shrouds and lightweight magnesium wheels finished in matte black with contrasting Badger Blue centres.

Until now, Ricciardo’s Valkyrie has remained in his personal collection, having covered just 160km from new. One of only 150 built, it could set a model record if it eclipses the $2.6m achieved at RM Sotheby’s Dubai sale in December 2024 for a 2022 example with similarly low mileage.

Joining the Valkyrie in the auction catalogue is another Aston Martin collaboration: a 2022 Aston Martin x Brough Superior AMB 001. Limited to just 100 examples, the track-only motorcycle is powered by a turbocharged 997cc V-twin producing 180hp and features lightweight carbonfibre bodywork and CNC-machined aluminium components. It’s estimated at €150,000 – €250,000.
