Turbocharger manufacturer Garrett Motion has launched a new range of turbochargers aimed specifically at vehicles aged 15 years and over.

Branded Garrett Original Maxlife, the line has been developed in response to the rising average age of Europe’s vehicle fleet. According to the company, vehicles 15 years and older now represent its fastest-growing segment.

Garrett reports that Europe’s ageing fleet is leading price-conscious customers to replace OEM parts with lower quality aftermarket items in an effort to extend the life of their vehicles.

The Garrett Original Maxlife line aims to serve these customers’ needs with affordable turbochargers that are of OEM-certified quality and performance and that come with a minimum one-year warranty.

Garrett will manufacture the turbos to OEM standards using its Smart Component Recovery process, which boosts sustainability while cutting production costs by reusing durable components while replacing critical components.

The Original Maxlife turbochargers join Garrett’s existing Original Equipment and Original Reman ranges, completing its tiered portfolio of direct OEM-spec replacement parts for new and ‘mid-age’ vehicles, respectively.

‘Maxlife gives workshops and drivers a dependable solution at the right price,’ said Garrett Global Afrermarket president Eric Fraysse. ‘It preserves the performance and quality people expect from the Garrett name, while offering a cost-effective answer for ageing but still hard-working vehicles.’

The turbos are available from Garrett distributors and workshops across 165 countries. For more information, click here.
