The Sparco race suit worn by four-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen could fetch £15,000 when it crosses the block in Budds’ F1 Timed Auction from 3-23 November, 2025. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Kids in Mind Charity that provides mental health support to disadvantaged children and young adults in the UK.
Verstappen wore this race suit at three Grands Prix this season – Australia, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia – finishing second in Australia and Saudi Arabia, and sixth in Bahrain during what has been a challenging campaign for Red Bull.
Testament to Verstappen’s generational talent is that he remains an outside contender for the 2025 title, having taken an unlikely pole and a commanding victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Title favourites Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, meanwhile, endured a disappointing weekend for McLaren, with a DNF and sixth place respectively.
Verstappen’s race-worn suit comes with certificates of authenticity from both Red Bull Racing and Sparco. Built to FIA 8856-2018 fireproof racewear standards, it is homologated for competition until 2035 – though that detail is unlikely to matter to the winning bidder.
