The Mercedes-Benz Museum, located in the marque’s hometown of Stuttgart, has welcomed its 14-millionth visitor since opening its doors back in 2006.

The milestone entry ticket was purchased by Sebastian N. from Aspach in southern Germany, who visited the museum with his son Benedikt, and friend Flynn. A trip to the Mercedes-Benz Museum had apparently been on the two eight-year old boys’ wishlist for some time.

Museum director Bettina Haussmann personally welcomed the trio and presented them with a gift. They were then invited to take a souvenir photograph sitting in both the 1912 Benz and 1950s Mercedes-Benz LF 3500 fire engines.

‘Fourteen-million visitors – this is another milestone that makes us proud and motivates us to continue shaping the Museum’s future with new content and activities,’ Haussmann beamed. ‘We would like to thank everyone who come to visit us and look forward to welcoming many more guests.’

Since opening, the Museum has sought to bring the history of mobility to life, beginning with the Benz Patent-Motorwagen of 1886 and into the future. In total, the Museum houses 1600 exhibits and 160 significant vehicles in its permanent collection.

The Mercedes-Benz Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
