The 2026 edition of The International Concours of Elegance once again transformed the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz into a dramatic open-air stage for automotive design, engineering and cultural crossover. Held at the end of January, the I.C.E. brought together 50 carefully selected classic and sports cars, spanning pre-war icons through to landmark hypercars.

Set against the Engadin mountains, the event continued its distinctive blend of static concours judging and dynamic on-ice driving. Judging on Friday saw Best in Class awards presented across five themed categories. Winners included a 1976 Lancia Stratos in the Legendary Liveries class, a 1949 Maserati 4CLT among Open Wheels entries and a 1993 Jaguar XJ220 recognised within Birth of Hypercar. The Barchettas on the Lake category was led by a 1955 Ferrari 750 Monza, while the Icons on Wheels award went to a 1937 Talbot-Lago T150C SS ‘Teardrop’. The Best Sound accolade was claimed by a 1965 Pontiac Vivant.

Saturday marked the most visually striking element of the event, with free laps allowing concours cars to circulate on the frozen lake, their reflections shimmering across the ice. At the close of proceedings, the Talbot-Lago T150C SS ‘Teardrop’ was crowned Best in Show, receiving a bespoke trophy designed by architect Lord Norman Foster, presented alongside Richard Mille EMEA chief executive Peter Harrison. The Spirit of St. Moritz award went to a 1967 Ferrari Dino 206 S, while the public-voted Hero Below Zero prize was awarded to the 1996 McLaren F1 GTR Lark.

Beyond the cars themselves, The I.C.E. once again engaged the wider St. Moritz community, with events extending from the lake into the town centre. A fly-past by the Swiss Air Force’s Patrouille Suisse added a further spectacle, underscoring the event’s growing international profile.
