Classic Nostalgia returns to the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in Worcestershire for a weekend of competitive motorsport, star drivers, demonstrations, live music and more on 18-19 July 2026.
First used in 1905, Shelsley Walsh is the world’s oldest motorsport venue. Fitting, then, that this year’s Classic Nostalgia will welcome some of the sport’s most legendary machinery, from Formula 1 and NASCAR to Bonneville record-breakers. Between runs, the cars are prepared in an intimate, open paddock that puts visitors right at the heart of the action.
The Historic Racing News Live Stage – a new addition for 2026 – will see a line-up of renowned motorsport figures share their stories through interviews, guest appearances and autograph sessions across the weekend. Le Mans winner Richard Attwood, former F1 driver Mike Wilds and touring car champion John Fitzpatrick are among those confirmed to attend.

WRC fans will be treated to machinery from the sport’s iconic Group B and Group A eras. Organised by Ralli22, the showcase is headlined by a tribute marking 25 years since Richard Burns’ 2001 WRC title. Highlights include the Safari-winning Subaru Impreza, demonstrated by engineer David Lapworth, with passenger rides offered in support of Midlands Air Ambulance.
Classic Nostalgia’s roster of F1 cars is headlined by Michael Schumacher’s Benetton B192, the controversial Durex-liveried Surtees TS19 and Patrick Tambay’s turbo-era Haas Lola THL1B. Complementing the Grand Prix machinery is the radical four-wheel-drive, V8-powered Hepworth FF hillclimb racer, which returns more than 50 years after it broke records at Shelsley.
Ear-splitting NASCARs, including ex-Kevin Harvick machinery, return to Classic Nostalgia following the success of their 2025 debut. They are joined by a field of UK V8 stock cars, plus the Andy Rouse-liveried Triumph Dolomite Sprint, an Escort Mk1 BDG and the record-setting DAF saloon.

Away from the hillclimb, the Classic and Sports Car Concours returns for pre-1985 vehicles. Judged by motoring journalist Simon Taylor, Hagerty’s John Mayhead and Classic & Sports Car magazine, the concours requires no pre-entry. Meanwhile, the Courtyard Barn will be transformed into the Art of Motorsport Gallery, where leading UK automotive artists will display and sell original works.
More than 20 UK car clubs will be in attendance, several of them marking significant milestones. Porsche Club GB is commemorating its 65th year, while the Jaguar Drivers’ Club and Midland Automobile Club honour their 70th and 125th anniversaries respectively. Visiting clubs benefit from forward parking, discounted member tickets and the opportunity to compete for Sunday’s Best Presented Club award.
