Goodwood has confirmed the seven classes that will feature in the Cartier Style et Luxe concours d’elegance at the 2026 Festival of Speed, which runs 9-12 July.

Spanning a century of automotive history, a 40-car field will compete for Best of Show – with the winner shortlisted for the Peninsula’s coveted Best of the Best award, presented to the finest Best of Show winner from six of the world’s most prestigious concours, including Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este.

One of the headline classes from the pre-war era is ‘Spezial K – Mercedes-Benz Super Stars’. Curated in celebration of the marque’s 100th anniversary, the category showcases bespoke, coachbuilt machines built for royalty and industrialists that laid the groundwork for Mercedes-Benz’s luxury reputation.

‘No More Horse Play – Dawn of the Motor Car’ reaches even further into automotive history, with a curated selection of veteran curios from the 19th century. The entry list is yet to be disclosed, but the era was defined by experimentation, with vehicles powered by everything from steam and electric motors to internal combustion engines.

The Lamborghini Miura celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026, and the trailblazing Italian supercar will be honoured in the ‘Miura Miura on the Wall – The Fairest Of Them All’ class. Supercar lovers will also be treated to the ‘Need for Swede’ Koenigsegg category for pre-2010 models that celebrates 20 years since the debut of the CCX.

The remaining classes include ‘Top Ghia – The Carrozzeria’s Golden Age,’ that marks Ghia’s 110th anniversary, ‘Track and Field – Sports Cars Born to Race and Rally’ for 1980s homologation specials and ‘The Long Fork to Freedom – American Choppers’ for custom US motorcycles.
