Kop Hill Climb
This year’s Kop Hill Climb takes place on September 12 and 13. It’s very much an automotive festival, with a funfair, music stage, and a trader village, but as ever the most compelling action will be on the 116-year old hill climb itself. The event attracts around 400 vehicles – both cars and bikes – which run up the hill, stretching right back to 1900. It’s untimed, so the runs are purely for fun (yours and those of the spectators) while participants receive an event plaque, programme and commemorative roundel. Prices are £60 for a day or £80 for both days to run up the hill (£30 or £45 for bikes), while for visitors and spectators, early-bird tickets are £12, £5 for 18-and-under, or £25 for two adults and up to three kids.
