Le Mans Classic Legend

Finally, the Le Mans Classic has become an annual event – which means that even if you miss it this year, you’ll be able to pop along next year instead rather than waiting even longer. “New era, new intensity” is promised from the event marking this annual move, with the first one christened Le Mans Classic Legend. The focus will be on prototypes and GTs from the 1970s to the 2010s, with a “retro-futuristic atmosphere”. Gordon Murray will be a guest of honour, and there’ll be a parade to celebrate some of his cars, including a McLaren F1 GTR, McLaren MP4/5B, and his modern T.33 and T.50 supercars. This year’s Classic runs from the 2nd-5th July and general admission starts at €43 – though the likes of Motorsport Travel Destinations offer packages with camping and channel crossings that start from £650 for two people, and rise up through glamping packages that top out at £4200.
