Callum Designs has teased a Shooting Brake version of its Aston Martin Vanquish 25 in the Portfolio section of its website, aiming to tempt buyers with a more practical take on the restyled and upgraded Vanquish launched in 2022.
Unlike most restomods, the Vanquish 25 was reimagined by its original designer, Ian Callum – the former Jaguar and Aston Martin stylist who now heads his own eponymous design firm.

This isn’t the first Vanquish coupé to be transformed into a Shooting Brake; in 2017, Zagato produced its own version based on the second-generation Vanquish S, rather than the original 2000s model.
Although details of Callum’s proposed Shooting Brake remain theoretical, and vague, it would likely share its mechanicals with the Vanquish 25 coupé. Just 25 coupés were built, each powered by an uprated 580bhp version of Aston Martin’s 5.9-litre V12, which – unlike all but the very last Vanquish S models – could be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The modernised carbonfibre bodywork was paired with a bespoke, re-trimmed interior, carbon-ceramic brakes, revised suspension, new light units and diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Proposed pricing for the Shooting Brake has not been hinted at. Considering the structural work and bespoke components that would be necessary for this model to be put into production, we would expect a price that was significantly more than the Vanquish 25’s original cost of around £550,000 – with the donor car included.
