The first customer-commissioned Capricorn 01 Zagato hypercar has been revealed at the 2026 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Dubbed the ‘Tutto Rosso’ (all red), the bespoke commission follows the model’s reveal at Belgium’s Zoute Grand Prix in 2025.
Just as the name suggests, the Tutto Rosso is finished almost exclusively in red, from the exterior paintwork and red-tinted carbonfibre monocoque to the interior’s red Connolly leather and Alcantara. Some 95 percent of the car’s visible surfaces are decorated in the colour, with only specific mechanical components, such as the shift gate and pedals, finished in contrasting hues for the sake of functionality.

Capricorn says covering such a large percentage of the car in red posed a significant engineering challenge – particularly in manufacturing the bespoke red-tinted monocoque and heat-exposed components, chief among which is the exhaust system.
The striking specification draws inspiration from the Italian coachbuilt racing cars of the pre-war era, neatly tying in to the lightweight, driver-focused hypercar’s Zagato styling – a period when Italian machines were draped in the national racing colour that would come to define the country’s motorsport identity.

‘Projects such as the Capricorn 01 Zagato Tutto Rosso are not driven by styling alone,’ said Capricorn CEO Robertino Wild. ‘When a customer approaches us with a vision like this, it becomes an opportunity to push our own capabilities further, not only in terms of design, but in how we industrialise and validate such an extreme configuration as part of our development plan.’
Although the Tutto Rosso is ultimately a customer vehicle, it will also be used as a prototype for testing and validation purposes before the 01 Zagato series officially kicks into production later this year. Just 19 examples will be handbuilt in Capricorn’s headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Beneath the Tutto Rosso’s carbonfibre skin lies a 5.2-litre supercharged Ford V8 developed in-house by Capricorn with bespoke conrods, pistons, crankshaft, air intake, cooling and exhaust systems. The engine is said to produce 888bhp and 737lb ft of torque. Drive goes to the rear wheels via a five-speed dogleg manual transmission, with 0-62mph dispatched in under three seconds and a top speed of 223mph.
As impressive as those figures are, Capricorn stresses the car has been engineered to prioritise lightness – the car weighs 1200kg dry – and an analogue driving experience. To that end, suspension is a double-wishbone pushrod arrangement with Bilstein adjustable dampers all round and braking is handled by Brembo carbon-ceramic discs with six-piston calipers.

Though new to hypercar production, Capricorn is an established supplier of motorsport components, supplying teams in Formula 1, the World Endurance Championship and World Rally Championship. This expertise underpins the 01 Zagato’s carbonfibre construction, suspension and powertrain.
Each of the 19 examples is priced at €2.95 million before taxes. For more information, click here.
