Porsche will build a special-edition 911 GT3 to honour Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, grandson of the marque’s founder. The announcement was made on what would have been his 90th birthday, 11 December 2025.
Known as F.A. Porsche, he joined the company in 1957 and is credited with designing the original 911, introduced in 1964. He also influenced the 904 Carrera GTS and co-founded the Porsche Design Studio with his brother, Hans-Peter, which went on to create iconic products including the Chronograph 1 wristwatch and P’8478 sunglasses.

To mark the occasion, Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division will build 90 examples of the 911 GT3 90 F.A. Porsche. One car is reserved for F.A.’s son, Mark, while the remaining 89 will be offered to customers worldwide.
Based on the latest 992.2 GT3 Touring, the special edition introduces a host of bespoke touches, including F.A. Greenmetallic paint, inspired by the Oak Green finish of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s personal 911. Black Sport Classic wheels, motorsport-style roundels and a Heritage Design badge on the engine lid complete the exterior.

The interior continues the tribute, with seats, glovebox and boot floor mats upholstered in F.A. Grid-Weave fabric, inspired by Porsche’s patterned jackets. Truffle Brown Club leather and a walnut gear knob bearing F.A.’s signature add to the cabin’s bespoke character. A gold-plated numbered plaque sits above the glovebox, while a Sport Chrono stopwatch echoes the original Chronograph I wristwatch.
Each customer will also receive a limited-edition Porsche Design Chronograph I, a weekend bag crafted from the same Grid-Weave fabric and Truffle Brown leather used in the car, and the option to purchase a Porsche Junior carbon‑Kevlar sled finished to match their 911.

‘I’m sure that my father would have loved this very special 911,’ said Mark Porsche. ‘Through many details, we have incorporated my father’s personal preferences into this exciting project.’
Orders open in April 2026, with prices starting from £289,000.
