This year’s International Historic Motoring Award ceremony is just around the corner, and for 2025 there’s a new charity auction element that aims to raise money for Sir Jackie Stewart’s Race Against Dementia charity. The sale will consist of an on-the-night silent auction, as well as an online auction – open to bidders from around the globe.

Guests attending the awards ceremony on 14 November will be able to take part in an exclusive silent auction, with details to be announced on the night, however the online aspect to the auction is open to bids from around the world from today. A few highlights include a two-night stay at the five-star Anantara Palazzo Naiadi in Rome, a one-day photo shoot with automotive photographer Amy Shore, a complete collection of Evro Publishing titles and a DTO Motorsport ProDriver experience in a BMW at the Goodwood race track. You can check out the entire auction catalogue, and all of the kindly donated lots, here.

Founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE after his wife Lady Helen’s diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia, Race Against Dementia applies the innovation and speed of Formula 1 thinking to scientific research. Among its groundbreaking projects is a new blood test designed to detect signs of dementia up to two decades before symptoms appear – an example of work that will be directly supported by the funds raised through this year’s auction.

Mark Stewart, Chair of Race Against Dementia, commented: ‘I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone at the International Historic Motoring Awards, and to all those who bid in the auction, for your incredible support of Race Against Dementia this year. The funds raised will go directly towards powering the brilliant scientists in our global research teams, helping them accelerate progress and bring us closer to breakthroughs that can change millions of lives. It’s inspiring to see the motoring community channel its passion for speed and innovation into tackling one of the greatest challenges of our time. On behalf of my father, Sir Jackie Stewart, and everyone at Race Against Dementia – thank you for joining us in this race for a cure.’

‘The International Historic Motoring Awards have always been about celebrating passion, preservation and people,’ said Geoff Love, Managing Director of the IHMA. ‘This year, we are proud to extend that spirit in support of Sir Jackie Stewart’s Race Against Dementia. Dementia touches so many lives, and through this partnership we hope to make a meaningful difference – combining the energy of the historic motoring world with the urgency of this vital cause.’
