Royal Automobile Club to hold Club Concours in July

Words: Elliott Hughes

The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) – the UK’s longest-standing motoring organisation – will hold its inaugural Club Concours at its Woodcote Park estate clubhouse on July 9, 2025. The classic motoring pageant joins the RAC’s prestigious calendar of motoring events, including the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

Set in the picturesque surroundings of the Surrey countryside, the Club Concours is touted as a ‘garden party for historic cars’, and invitations will be sent out to RAC members, guests and select motoring clubs. The concours d’elegance will be complemented by myriad special displays, live talks from industry experts, music and fine dining.

The RAC says that over 50 classic and collector cars from the past 100 years of motoring will be curated for the concours contest. Categories include Grand Tourers, Riviera, Coachbuilder’s Art, Limousines and the Mille Miglia. There will also be classes catering to vintage automobiles and 50 years of the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.

Celebrities and renowned industry figures will form the jury tasked with selecting the vehicles for these categories before anointing them with silverware. A People’s Choice award, meanwhile, will be presented to the event’s most popular car with attendees.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to peruse luxury items and vehicles from the range of vendors, dealers and manufacturers in attendance.

‘The Club has a distinguished history of organising some of the finest motoring events, including RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run,’ said RAC chairman Duncan Wiltshire. ‘It therefore gives us great pleasure to announce that we’re adding the Club Concours to our stellar line-up.’
