Ahead of the main Salon Privé London event that is taking place at the Royal Hospital Chelsea later this week (16-18 April), a small and free preview event – the Sloane Street Concours – took place on 11 April as a warm-up.
Transforming part of Chelsea’s Sloane Street into a single-day display of classic and modern performance cars ahead of the main Salon Privé London event. Staged between Harriet Street and Cadogan Place, the event centred on an ‘old vs new’ theme, pairing historic models with modern hypercars against the backdrop of the street’s recently redeveloped ‘green boulevard’.

Among the highlights was a 1961 Jaguar E-type positioned outside the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, alongside a mix of modern supercars and low-volume specialist builds – such as the Encore Series 1 Esprit restomod and Automotive Artisans glorious R33. Elsewhere, Gordon Murray Automotive and Nichols Cars brought along, while Koenigseggg dealer SuperVettura brought along a CCR.
Unlike a traditional concours lawn setting, the cars were integrated into the street itself, positioned within designated bays while the surrounding retail environment remained active. This approach created an informal, accessible setting, allowing visitors to view the cars at close quarters.
While small in scale, the Sloane Street display offered a concise cross-section of the cars and themes expected at the main Salon Privé London event. See salonprivelondon.com for more info and tickets.
