The 2026 Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance will return to the UNESCO-listed Cockatoo Island from 27 February to 1 March.
Now in its eighth year, the 2026 edition will welcome a line-up of leading marques including Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, McLaren, Polestar and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, with further additions expected in the coming weeks. Organised by James Nicholls, the event will host more than 50 concours entries – including several vehicles never previously shown in the Southern Hemisphere. Participants will also take part in the event’s signature driving tour ahead of the main exhibition.
Judging remains owner-led, with concours participants voting for the ‘Best of Show’ – a format that prioritises peer recognition over traditional panels. The atmosphere remains relaxed but aspirational, with a clear emphasis on design, preservation and craftsmanship.

The 2026 field is divided across themed classes, with pre-war entries headlined by a 1934 Bugatti Type 57 Graber Roadster and a trio of Rolls-Royces including a 1924 Silver Ghost and a 1937 Phantom III by Windovers. The ‘Ashes’ class juxtaposes British elegance with Australian muscle, mixing a 1957 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk II with a 1971 Ford XY Falcon GT-HO Phase III.
A strong Mercedes-Benz showing is promised through the ‘Three-Pointed Star Centenary’ class, ranging from a 1954 300 SL coupé to a 1969 280 SL Pagoda. Italian design will also be celebrated with Ferrari 275 GTBs, Maseratis and coachbuilt Lancias in the ‘Disegno Italiano’ and ‘Carrozzeria Touring’ groupings.
For those with more eclectic taste, ‘Plastic Fantastic’ showcases lightweight oddities from the 1957 Buchanan and 1964 Studebaker Excalibur to a 1974 Bond Bug. Japanese performance will be honoured in the ‘Catch My Drift’ group, with a 1999 Subaru 22B, Lexus LFA and original Toyota Celica GT all confirmed. The modern era will be represented in ‘Generation Alpha’ by cars such as the McLaren Senna XP and Porsche 911 Dakar.
