A pair of homegrown classics took the twin Best of Show awards at the seventh Chantilly Arts et Elegance Richard Mille in the grounds of the Château de Chantilly 50km north of Paris on 15 September.
In the Concours dÉtat Best of Show for Pre-War cars was a Bugatti T35C, while the Post-War trophy went to an exceptional Talbot-Lago T26 GS Coupé.
Almost 100 cars were in the concours, which started in 2014 and after some hiccoughs, seems to be now going from strength to strength. Some 28,000 people attended and healthy displays from 40 cars clubs brought the total number of classics on-site to 900 cars.
All the award winners are below, but the popular Concours d’Elegance fought over by a. group of 10 modern concept cars was scooped by the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE with the Bugatti Tourbillon winning the public vote.
Marc Ouayoun, Managing Director Peter Auto, said: ‘For my first edition of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, I was deeply impressed by the incredible quality and diversity of the vehicles on display, as well as by the strong presence of the manufacturers. This event represents a unique opportunity for them to showcase their heritage while unveiling the concepts that are shaping the future. I am honoured to be taking over from Patrick Peter, who created this exceptionally elegant event. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this day, from the partners to the organisers, from the judges to the visitors, who gave this event all its magic and refinement. I would especially like to thank our partner Richard Mille, without whom none of this would be possible.
