Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Le Mans Classic Legend, taking place from 2-5 July 2026.

Building on the success of Le Mans Classic, the rebranded event marks its first edition as an annual historic motorsport fixture, alternating each year between two distinct themes.

This year’s Le Mans Classic Legend will focus on the turbocharged, prototype, and GT machinery of the 1970s through to the 2010s, while next year’s Le Mans Classic Heritage will celebrate the formative years of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from its inception in 1923 through the early ’70s.

Complementing the main event, Peter Auto announced last year the launch of the Legends of Le Mans, a dedicated series for 2010s LMP1, LMP2, and GT cars. At the same time, the broader Le Mans Classic Series was unveiled to unify Peter Auto’s calendar and connect fixtures such as Spa-Classic and Imola Classic more closely to the flagship Le Mans event.

The ambitious switch to a rotating format comes after sell-out editions of the Le Mans Classic in 2023 and 2025. Last year, almost 230,000 spectators descended on La Sarthe to watch 800 cars on track, alongside more than 9,000 vehicles displayed by 220 international clubs.

Le Mans Classic Legend and Le Mans Classic Heritage will continue to be jointly organised by Peter Auto and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO). The two organisations believe the revamped format will better showcase the race’s rich history while delivering a distinct spectacle each year.

For now, the first Le Mans Classic Legend is teased with bold, retro-inspired visuals, reflecting the event’s nod to Le Mans heritage while embracing the modern era.
