Zagato has teamed up with German engineering firm Capricorn to build a limited-production hypercar. Said to be lightweight and driver-focused, the model – along with its name – will make its global debut at the Zoute Grand Prix in Belgium on 10 October 2025.
Most enthusiasts will be far more familiar with Zagato than Capricorn – yet the German engineering firm has quietly powered leading motorsport teams to success in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship.
According to its website, Capricorn’s expertise in lightweight metallic and composite materials has contributed to 18 F1 World Championships, 14 Le Mans 24 Hours victories and a total of 186 titles across all categories.
‘Our first hypercar to carry the Capricorn name is the result of many decades spent refining our approach to precision engineering and lightweight design,’ said Capricorn founder and CEO Robertino Wild. ‘We wanted to create something that feels technically advanced yet refreshingly analogue.’

Even when brightened (above), the sole teaser image gives away little beyond the inclusion of gullwing doors, a large Ferrari F8 Tributo–style scalloped bonnet and what appears to be an analogue gauge cluster.
Production is slated to begin in the first half of 2026, with just 19 examples planned. The entire run will be offered exclusively through the Louyet Group, which in addition to being a major distributor of brands such as Rolls-Royce and McLaren in Belgium, has more recently added Aston Martin to its portfolio.
‘This project marks a turning point in our 106-year history of collaborating with more than 45 automotive brands in the creation of collectible GT cars,’ said Zagato president Andrea Zagato. ‘Zagato’s first hypercar introduces a new segment of collectibles, designed to enhance the driving experience beyond the contemporary and classic categories.’
