Swiss watchmaker Chopard has unveiled a UK-exclusive version of its Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph, finished in British Racing Green. The model continues the brand’s long-standing association with the Mille Miglia, which it has sponsored since 1988.
The British Racing Green edition retains the 40.5mm case introduced in 2023, complete with welded lugs and more restrained proportions than the earlier 42mm version. The case, bezel, crown and pushers are all formed from Chopard’s Lucent Steel, finished in a mix of polished and satin-brushed surfaces. Knurled pushers reference classic car pedals, while a notched crown improves grip.
The case is topped by Chopard’s ‘glass box’ sapphire crystal, protecting the British Racing Green dial beneath. White minute-track, hour markers and tachymeter markings provide contrast, while rhodium-plated hands filled with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova ensure legibility. A red-tipped chronograph seconds hand subtly echoes the colours of the Mille Miglia logo at the centre of the dial.
Other aesthetic touches include a dark green rubber strap with a tyre-tread motif inspired by vintage Dunlop tyres, while the sapphire caseback is decorated with crossed chequered and Union flags and reveals the automatic movement beneath.
Certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC), the mechanical self-winding 37-jewel movement boasts a 54-hour power reserve. Hands sweep smoothly around the dial at a frequency of 28,800vph (4Hz) – equivalent to eight beats per second.
The limited-edition Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph British Racing Green is priced at £9,660.
