The 83rd Goodwood Members’ Meeting, scheduled for 18–19 April, opens a season-long celebration of motorsport rivalries – the theme running through all three of Goodwood’s 2026 events – with tributes to 1976 Formula 1 and Motorcycle Grand Prix champions James Hunt and Barry Sheene.
The celebrations mark the 50th anniversary of their title-winning seasons, with significant machinery from both of their careers taking to the track. Hunt’s championship-winning McLaren M23 will be joined by Ferrari, Brabham and Tyrrell challengers from the DFV era, while a dedicated showcase of Sheene’s Grand Prix bikes marks the Members’ Meeting’s first motorcycle-only demonstration.

Away from the track, the fast and louche lifestyles of Hunt and Sheene will be celebrated with a recreation of Hunt’s Marbella nightclub in the Brooklands Lawn Shed, hosting a weekend-long disco.
Other on-track highlights include the Super Touring Shoot-Out, which reunites around 20 cars from the 1990s BTCC for practice and qualifying sessions ahead of Sunday’s wheel-to-wheel battle. Modern Formula 1 will be represented by Jenson Button, who will drive his 2009 championship-winning Brawn BGP 001 in his first Members’ Meeting appearance.

Sunday afternoon, dubbed Super Sunday, will feature a packed timetable of historic racing and demonstrations, including the Bruce McLaren Trophy for pre-1967 Can-Am and Group 7 sportscars, the Phil Hill Cup for 1964-66 sports and GT cars, the Gordon Spice Trophy for Group 1 touring cars, the Hunt and Sheene tributes and the Super Touring Shoot-Out.
Another Sunday draw is the Bonhams Members’ Meeting sale, led by three cars from the collection of the late motorsport artist Michael Turner. The highlight is a 1939 Jaguar SS100 that Turner owned and drove regularly for nearly 70 years, estimated at £225,000-275,000. read more about Turner’s collection here.

Other highlights of Bonhams sale include a 2002 Lamborghini Murciélago (no reserve, est. £175,000-225,000) a 1925 Bentley 3 Litre Boat Tail Tourer (est. £100,000-150,000) and an ex-John Fitzpatrick 1971 Ford Escort RS1600 Group 2 (est. £150,000-200,000).
