Former Formula 1 team principal and team owner Ross Brawn will appear at the inaugural Concours des Légendes at Wilton House on Friday 19 June, 2026 – just two weeks after his shock return to motorsport.
On 26 May 2026, MotoGP team Pramac Racing announced that Brawn had joined its board of directors as a strategic adviser to team principal Paolo Campinoti. The team currently sits bottom of the MotoGP standings with just six points, and Brawn’s appointment appears aimed at reversing those fortunes.
‘I’m delighted to join the board of Pramac Racing Limited in a non-executive role,’ Brawn said. ‘Motorsport has always been about people, teamwork and continuous improvement and I look forward to supporting Paolo and the team and contributing where my experience may be useful.’
Brawn follows former Formula 1 Group CEO Chase Carey – now non-executive chairman of MotoGP – and former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner, who recently acquired the Tech3 KTM outfit, as the latest high-profile F1 figure to move into the series since Liberty Media completed its €4.2bn acquisition in 2025. Former Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner was also spotted as a guest in the MotoGP paddock at Jerez in April, though no formal role has been announced.
His F1 career spanned some of the sport’s most iconic eras. As technical director at Benetton, he helped secure back-to-back Drivers’ Championships in 1994 and 1995 with Michael Schumacher. The duo then moved to Ferrari, where they played a central role in the Scuderia’s dominant run to five Constructors’ and Drivers’ titles from 2000-2004.
He then moved to Honda, leading a management buyout at the end of 2008 that transformed the team into Brawn GP. In one of the sport’s great fairytale seasons, the team won both Championships before Mercedes absorbed it in 2010. Brawn subsequently moved into a broader role within the Formula 1 Group before his five-decade career came to a close in 2022.
At Wilton, Brawn will take to the Legends Stage as part of a panel on F1 – Engineering the Future, alongside former Grand Prix driver Stefan Johansson, engineer Patrick Morgan and designer Peter Stevens. Brawn’s Ferrari 250 GT SWB will also feature in the concours display.
