The inaugural Star Car Show will showcase a line-up of fan-built replica vehicles from film and television on 29-30 August 2026, staged at the Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
Organisers have confirmed an impressive selection of fan-owned, hand-built tributes, with highlights including Bat Cars, Transformers’ Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, a 007-style Aston Martin DB5 and a hand-built Chitty Chitty Bang Bang homage. Younger visitors will be treated to life-size replicas of Lightning McQueen and Mater from Disney Pixar’s Cars franchise.

The show was created by Mike Barr, owner of Star Car Hire, a company specialising in supplying iconic vehicles for film, television and events. ‘I grew up on a steady diet of car chase movies as a kid and was obsessed with films like Bullitt and Smokey and the Bandit, as well as TV shows such as The A-Team, Starsky and Hutch and the Bandit,’ said Barr. ‘To gather nostalgic fan-built tributes together under one roof alongside other incredible classics will be incredibly exciting.’
The movie and television machines will be complemented by a multi-generational display of classic cars, from V8-powered American muscle to cutting-edge supercars.
The indoor Eikon Exhibition Centre is one of Northern Ireland’s largest event venues and organisers expect visitors from across Ireland. For tickets and more information, click here.
