Ennstal Classic

The Ennstal-Classic bills itself as “Driving in the last paradise”, a thousand kilometres of spirited driving through the Alps. Beginning on July 22nd and ending on the 25th, the route will take around 200, pre-1972 cars through stunning scenery, across mountain passes on closed roads (giving drivers that true early-motoring feel), and around the Red Bull Ring ahead of that weekend’s Grand Prix; 40 stages in total. There’s catering along the route and some impressive accommodation too. You’ve already missed the deadline for taking part this year, but if you’re in the area then it’ll be a good place to catch some historic cars in action on some of Europe’s most scenic mountain roads.
