Peking to Paris Motor Challenge

Date 04 – 16 July 2028

You’ve got plenty of time to plan for the next Peking to Paris Motor Challenge, which is scheduled for the 4th June to the 16th July 2028. It remains one of the world’s toughest events for classic cars, with 2028’s event being the tenth anniversary since being revived by HERO-ERA, previously the Historic Endurance Rally Organisation. Unlike the Dakar, which over the years has been reduced to a run through a single country, the Peking to Paris really does still span the width of Asia and Europe, clocking up 17,500km in all, between the Great Wall of China and the finish line in Paris. Numerous classes take part, spanning everything from 1907 to modern classics as new as 1985. Old American metal is still the go-to for the most serious crews: 2025’s run was won by a crew in a 1939 Chevrolet Coupe, with a 1939 Ford in second and another 1939 Chevy in third!
