To mark the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 912, Budapest-based KAMManufaktur has revealed a special edition of its lightweight 912c. This limited-run model celebrates the under-appreciated history of the 912, particularly its successes in motorsport – with bespoke paintwork.
First introduced in 1965 as a more affordable alternative to the 911, the Porsche 912 combined the outgoing 356’s four-cylinder engine with the new 911 chassis. Despite living in the shadow of the 911, it carved out its own niche among enthusiasts, with just 32,000 units produced between 1965 and 1969.
KAMM’s 912c builds on this legacy, using extensive carbon fibre construction to achieve an ultra-lightweight body, weighing between 699 and 750kg in road specification. Developed by a team with experience at Singer, Koenigsegg, and Porsche Motorsport, each 912c is based on an original donor car, retaining the authenticity of the 912 while modernising its performance and usability.

The 60th Edition pays homage to the 912’s unexpected motorsport success. In 1967, Polish driver Sobieslaw Zasada claimed overall victory in the European Rally Championship for Group 1 touring cars behind the wheel of a 912, proving its capability against the larger 911. The KAMM 912c 60th Edition will be available in Poland Red, inspired by Zasada’s rally-winning car, or Bahama Yellow, a nod to the 912s that competed in Swedish and British rallies in the same era.
Only two examples of the 60th Edition will be built, with buyers will be able to configure their car for road or track use – with options for adjustable gear ratios, seats, safety equipment, and engine tuning. Additional modern comforts such as Bluetooth audio, air conditioning, and wireless phone charging are also available.
The 60th Edition package includes a one-on-one design consultation with KAMM founder Miki Kázmér, alongside a curated selection of anniversary items including a special racing helmet, bespoke clothing, KAMM artwork, and a carbon fibre scale model. It is priced from €395,000.
