The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance has announced a record $4 million raised for charity in 2025, marking the highest single-year total in the event’s 75-year history.
While the Concours remains best known for its display of significant cars on the 18th fairway, charitable giving has been part of its purpose since the first event in 1950. Chairman Sandra Button noted that what began as modest contributions drawn from poster and programme sales has grown into one of the most successful philanthropic programmes in the collector car world. Since its inception, the Concours has now donated more than $45 million, and organisers hope to reach the $50 million milestone at the 75th running in August 2026.
This year’s total was made possible through the combined efforts of entrants, judges, sponsors and volunteers, working alongside Pebble Beach Company. CEO David Stivers described the event as a community endeavour, with the scale of support reflecting the international standing of the Concours.

Funds are distributed through the Pebble Beach Company Foundation, which supports more than 100 non-profit organisations with a focus on improving opportunities for young people. In addition, the annual charity drawing – bolstered this year by contributions from Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti and Lincoln – delivered direct support to groups including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Montage Health Foundation, Natividad Foundation and United Way Monterey County.
The Concours also continues to invest in educational initiatives that encourage younger generations to engage with automotive history and design, honouring the legacy of figures such as Phil Hill, John Lamm and Don Williams.
Attention is now turning to the 75th anniversary event, to be held on 16 August 2026. The celebrations will include special tributes to Pebble Beach’s early road-racing era along with curated classes for Ferrari, Vignale, American Speedsters, Classic Streamliners, Land Speed Record cars (including the Sunbeam 1000hp!) and Japanese motorsport. Further features will be announced in the coming months, with ticket sales opening soon.
