Another ex-Queen Elizabeth II Range Rover is up for auction in November

A 2007 Range Rover SE 3.6 TDV8 used by the late Queen Elizabeth II is set to cross the block at Iconic Auctioneers’ Iconic Sale during the NEC Classic Motor Show, Birmingham, on 8 November 2025.

It’s the second Royal-provenance L322 that Iconic Auctioneers has offered this year; the first, a 2006 4.2-litre V8 petrol, achieved £175,500 (inc. fees) at the Collectors’ Car Sale during the Silverstone Festival on 23 August 2025.

Ordered through Land Rover Special Operations for the Monarch, this car is understood to be the only Tonga Green diesel L322 delivered to the Queen. Custom royal features include rear grab handles to aid ingress and egress and a dog guard in the boot.

Its provenance is reinforced by photographs of Her Late Majesty driving this very car, believed to have been taken at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and at Sandringham. These images accompany the history file, which also confirms early servicing by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations.

After Royal duties, the Range Rover passed to private ownership. Around a decade ago it was recorded as a Category D insurance claim, reportedly for a minor interior electrical fault rather than any structural damage. The car later saw use in Spain, where the sunshine took a toll on the Tonga Green Metallic paint.

The current vendor bought it locally – unaware of its significance – at roughly 120,000 miles, then uncovered its SVO roots via the service book, registration and chassis records.

Recognising what he had, the vendor refreshed the paint and interior, refitted the period Special Vehicles telephone, headphones and rear entertainment, and sourced the correct bonnet dog mascot as seen in period photographs.

Presented with 126,000 miles, it is expected to fetch £50,000-£60,000.
