FuoriConcorso returned to Lake Como on 16-17 May with a distinctly German theme for 2026, bringing together 72 cars across the gardens of Villa del Grumello, Villa Sucota and Villa Olmo under the title ‘KraftMeister’.
While previous events focused on Italian design, this year’s event focused on German engineering and competition history – with displays including Porsche endurance racers, Mercedes-Benz GTs, rare prototypes and not to mention the treasures from some of Germany’s best-known tuning houses.

As ever with FuoriConcorso, the appeal came less from concours judging and more from the quality and variety of the cars assembled on the lakeside. Historic Porsche competition cars formed one of the major centrepieces, including long-tail endurance racers and Le Mans-derived prototypes, while Mercedes-Benz was represented by both period competition cars and high-performance road machinery from the AMG era onwards.
Modern German performance culture was equally well represented, with examples from Alpina, Ruf and other specialist manufacturers. Multiple world premieres also took place during the event, including the Brabus BODO and Pagani Zonda Cervino.
Beyond the cars themselves, several major figures from the automotive and design worlds appeared during the event’s ‘Conversations’ series, including designers, engineers and racing figures including Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish. FuoriConcorso also hosted the world premiere of Helmut Newton Cars, an exhibition bringing together 38 previously unseen automotive photographs by the celebrated photographer.

Now firmly established alongside Villa d’Este, FuoriConcorso continues to carve out its own identity – less formal concours, more curated celebration of automotive culture.
